Fifteen Years in the Trade, One Showroom in Wanamaker
Troy Keen spent more than fifteen years in the hearth trade, much of it with one of the larger operations, so he knows the whole process from the inside, on every scale. Kindled Timber opened in 2022 on a simple bet: treat every install as the start of a relationship, not the end of a sale, and the rest takes care of itself.
The full hearth showroom sits in Wanamaker, a mile from his own front door: industrial bones, lit displays, and free education whenever you walk in. Half the sales process is an education session, and it's the half we'd do for free anyway.
Most new customers still arrive the old way: somebody we serviced told a neighbor. Service calls are the marketing plan, which tells you most of what you need to know about how the work gets done. NFI and CSIA certified, a member of the Franklin and Shelby County chambers of commerce, and picky about exactly one thing: doing it right the first time.

Walk-ins are welcome Monday through Friday, 11 to 5. Saturdays run by appointment, which means the floor and the owner's full attention are yours. We recommend it.

How much does a fireplace installation cost in Central Indiana?
It depends on the unit, the venting, and the finish work, which is why we put live pricing in the online estimator instead of making you call for it. Answer a few questions about your space and you'll have a real number in about a minute: the unit, the venting it needs, and professional installation, with no obligation.
Is the online estimate a real number?
It's a real ballpark, built from the unit's actual price and the typical installation for your configuration. Your appointment turns it into a firm quote once we've seen the wall, the chimney, or the gas line. Nothing is ordered until you've seen the final number.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. Once you accept your estimate and it becomes an invoice, financing runs through Affirm right inside our billing, with terms you pick. Tell us you're interested when you book and we'll walk you through it.
How long does an installation take?
It depends on the unit, the venting, and any finish work. Inserts and freestanding stoves are the quickest; built-in fireplaces with framing, a gas line, or finish carpentry take longer. The appointment sets the schedule before anything is ordered.
How soon can you install before the holidays?
Fall is the busy season, so the earlier you start the estimate, the better your odds of watching the game in front of the new unit. Off-season installs book quickest of all.
