What does the chimney sweep include?
The full flue from the cap down to the firebox: creosote and soot removed, the smoke shelf cleared, the damper and cap checked, and honest notes on anything that needs attention. Masonry fireplaces, wood stoves, inserts, and prefab fireplaces all get the same treatment.
Do you sweep prefab and factory-built fireplaces?
Yes. Prefab fireplaces and their metal chimneys need the same attention as masonry, and the sweep is built for them.
Can I book a sweep with my fireplace tune-up?
Yes. Book both visit types in the scheduler and we'll handle them on the same trip whenever the calendar allows.
How long does a sweep take?
Plan on about an hour and a half. The scheduler shows the price and the length of the visit before you book.
