You need a fire you can see from every seat . If you’re separating a living room from a dining room, or a bedroom from a sitting area, and you want both spaces to share the flame, the Ascent Multi-View is the one. A single-sided unit will warm the room it faces; this one makes the fire the thing the whole floor plan is arranged around. What Makes It Special The fire is open to view from two sides as a see-through, or from three as a peninsula, so the same flame is the centerpiece of two rooms at once —a divider that gives warmth and a focal point to both sides instead of taking space from one. Choose log media and it reads traditional from every angle; choose glass and it reads modern from every angle. The electronic ignition has a battery back-up, so it still lights when the power goes out —as long as you’ve kept batteries in it. Add the optional remote and you run everything from the couch: on and off, flame height, fan speed, or, with the thermostatic version, a set temperature the fireplace holds on its own. The unit is backed by Napoleon’s President’s Limited Lifetime warranty. Possible Downsides • The remote is optional, not included ; on/off and thermostatic versions are both available. • The battery back-up takes 4 AA batteries, and they’re not included —keep a fresh set in it if outage lighting matters to you. • Propane homes need a conversion kit ; the unit is set up for natural gas out of the box.
