If you’re building or remodeling an outdoor room and want it in use from the first mild week of spring to the last one of fall, the Galaxy GSS62 is the one to plan it around. Settle for a smaller flame and the patio stays a summer-only room; choose this one and the evening moves outside with you. What Makes It Special The fire itself is the feature: a flame more than five feet wide and 20 inches tall , behind a glass wind guard that keeps it steady when the evening breeze picks up. The firebox is 304 stainless steel, made to sit outside through rain and winter, and a micro safety switch shuts the fireplace down automatically whenever the weather cover is in place— it can’t run covered, even by accident . After dark, the multi-color LED ember bed and wind guard lighting makes the fireplace the patio’s light source too, with seven colors from white to deep blue. And if the fireplace divides two outdoor spaces, the optional see-through conversion kit opens the back so both sides get the fire. One planning note: the GSS62 builds into an outdoor wall or enclosure with finish work around it, so plan the whole project with our team rather than around the unit alone. If seating sits close, the optional Prestige heat and exhaust management kit helps manage heat output for more flexibility in the layout. Possible Downsides • The see-through configuration requires an optional conversion kit. Out of the box, the fire shows on one side only. • Log sets and media kits are optional, not included. The included media is clear glass embers with the LED lighting. • The heat and exhaust management system is optional and must be added during installation. Decide before the build, not after.
