A standard linear will warm the space just fine; this one is the thing people notice when they walk in. What Makes It Special The glass runs more than four feet wide and over two feet tall, and the fire is engineered to fill it— taller flames without added fuel consumption , so the height of the fire doesn’t come out of your gas bill. It’s also a fire you run from the couch. The included remote handles every function, and the eFIRE app on your phone adds on/off, flame height, and an ember bed you can set to any color imaginable —a warm glow on an ordinary Tuesday, something bolder when people are over. Top lights keep the firebox illuminated even when the flames are turned down. Possible Downsides • No media is included —you choose a log set, wrought iron globes, or a glass kit separately. • A fan is optional, not included. • Hanging a TV or artwork above it calls for optional heat-management equipment ; it is not built in.
